  8. Hello and a HUGE welcome to a brand new database program, Huge Base.
  9.  
  10. This program will amaze you when you use it. It is packed with error 
  11. messages and statements for every action so that you can find out what
  12. you are doing wrong or what you need to do quickly and easily.
  13.  
  14. This program is shareware, but it is the full version and it is not 
  15. crippled in any way.
  16.  
  17. Please see the READ ME! document for miscellaneous information and 
  18. details on how to register to the latest version.

  20. Also read the INSTRUCTIONS document for how to use Huge Base. It is 
  21. very easy to use when you've used it for a while.
  22.  
  23. Don't load Huge Base thinking you know how to use everything without 
  24. reading the documents first. Huge Base uses a neat way of searching 
  25. and, unless you know what you're doing, there could be some confusion!

  33. WHY USE HUGE BASE?
  34. ==================

  36. I will now provide a summary of what Huge Base can do and why I feel 
  37. it is better than other database programs.
  38.  
  39. PROGRAMMING - It's written in AMOS. So what? This program just shows 
  40. what AMOS can do. There are at least 110,000 users of AMOS 
  41. Professional (and that's not including AMOS). Whoever said that AMOS 
  42. is on a losing streak is VERY VERY wrong. AMOS is still the best 
  43. programming language around and, until another programming language as
  44. powerful as AMOS is released, it's here to stay people!

  46. SEARCHING - Powerful searching functions allow you to search quickly 
  47. and easily under ANY criteria whatsoever. Unique individual record 
  48. selection makes this searching technique an brilliant one.
  49.  
  50. MESSAGES - Hundreds of messages tell you exactly what you are doing, 
  51. when you are doing it. The only thing it doesn't tell you is, how to 
  52. will the lottery.

  54. GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE - The great GUI system makes a great modern 
  55. environment away from all of those nasty Workbench windows and 
  56. buttons.
  57.  
  58. POP UP MENUS - GUI pop up menus allow you to make a selection easy 
  59. and quickly. If you want the "POP UP" to go away, you simply click 
  60. somewhere else on the screen.

  62. STORAGE - Huge Base uses a minimal amount of memory to store your 
  63. data. Unlike most databases, the output file depends on the amount of 
  64. data you have in your database. The more you have, the bigger the file
  65. will be. Some database programs save the whole field even when it 
  66. could be completely empty.

  68. SOUND - Not very exciting, but it's there! Sound at your fingertips, 
  69. and a range of soundset moods to choose from.

  71. LAYOUT - With all of the function buttons located at the bottom of the
  72. screen, they are always accessible and respond immediately to your 
  73. actions.
  74.  
  75. FIELDS - The functions for defining fields, changing fields etc. are 
  76. excellent. Move, modify, delete, clear and more ... easily and at a 
  77. very speedy pace.
  78.  
  79. RECORDS - Various functions relating to records make data entry almost
  80. effortless. With a limit of 60,000 (yes, sixty thousand) records, I 
  81. don't think anyone will complain about it.

  83. SHAREWARE - To finish on a good note. This program is shareware. You 
  84. are getting a VERY good deal - a great database program for nowt. I 
  85. like people using my programs for free. Enjoy, and share!
